Money Market: The market that comprises of short-term financial instruments is termed as money market. Some of the common money market instruments are as follows: Federal funds, Treasury bills, municipal notes etc. The common characteristic that all these instruments share is the fact that they all mature in a year or less than a year and often times in less than a month.
