Investment Banking CertificationQuestion: When is the best time to apply for an investment banking job?

Answer: For those seeking entry-level investment banking positions (as either analysts from undergraduate programs or associates from MBA programs), the best time is dictated by the annual recruiting schedule of each bank. Full-time positions are applied for while the candidate is in his/her final year of studies. The schedule is likely to be found in the “Careers” section of each bank’s corporate website.  Many banks have informal, on-campus information sessions in the autumn of the school year, and such banks will often conduct first-round on-campus (or at an off-site) interviews in the winter (and even into the spring). It is very important to research the deadlines published by each bank for each step of the hiring process.
