Financial Analyst Certification

Question: What sort of experience is needed for some of the more common financial analyst positions?

Answer: For entry level position you do not need intensive previous experience, although it is good to have 1-2 years of finance experience. Later on positions are getting more and more specialized so there aren’t too many common financial analyst positions. If you apply for a job that requires several years of experience 90% of that experience has to be relevant. To give you an example if you apply for a senior financial analyst position in the pharmaceutical industry you need to have experience relating to that industry.
