Investment Banking CertificationQuestion: What are employers looking for in an investment banking professional?

Answer: Employers are looking for candidates that are smart, hardworking, capable of working both independently and as part of a team, have attention to detail, can present themselves well to clients and are fun to be around. The last item on the preceding list is utterly important as long work days mean lots of time spent with co-workers (as do the travel commitments that come with the job). It is important for job candidates to do their best to demonstrate all of the above characteristics to the people in charge of making hiring decisions; this can be done in part on a resume as well as during an interview by highlighting episodes from the candidate’s background.
