Investment Banking CertificationQuestion: How did you get your first entry level investment banking position?

Answer: I followed the normal route to my job as a first-year investment banking analyst. Many banks conducted on-campus recruiting at my university, so I simply participated in that process. I submitted a personalized cover letter along with my resume; I had previously worked at a different investment bank (in a menial job!) during a term off from my studies. The bank then invited me to an on-campus interview. After that interview, I was asked to visit the bank’s office in New York for a “super Saturday” – a full day of eight interviews with bankers of various titles from various groups. I then received a job offer, which I happily accepted.
