Real Account: Real account is often termed as permanent account. The account that contains information about the assets, liabilities, capital accounts of a firm as is displayed on a balance sheet is termed as a real account. Interestingly, the balances in a real account are carried over to the following accounting period instead of being canceled out at the end of the accounting period.
